Former Kumon Student Learns Faster Mental Math at Genie Academy

Jay, a Genie Academy graduate, says Genie Academy has helped him figure out problems easier. Due to this, he does mental math calculations faster than his mother. 

“He’s able to do math better than me,” Jigna Bhagia, Jay’s mother said. 

Because of Genie Academy’s mental math tool, the abacus, Jay was able to pick up quickness when doing math calculations.

“The biggest thing was he was able to pick up speed when he was doing his calculations. He is in third grade, so I am hoping it will be a plus point when he is doing his NJ Ask or exams which are timed based,” Jigna said.

Not only did the abacus give Jay the speed, but also it gave him the power to vision and think of the beads mentally. 

“The biggest advantage was Jay using the beads and everything. It just gave him the strength to think it mentally and force his mind in that particular way. He can vision himself into doing it mentally. He enjoys it,” Jigna said.

Genie Academy makes math fun and Jay could not agree more.

“Before he was doing it because it was his homework, but due to Genie Academy, he finds it more fun to understand and do math problems. He takes it like a game,” Jigna said.
