Genie Academy Student scored in the 99th Percentile on the MAP Test

Success-Stories-Sophia-MAP-Test-PlainsboroSophia, a Genie Academy student in Plainsboro outperformed the West Windsor Plainsboro school district and National standards by scoring in the 99th percentile of her MAP test. The MAP, otherwise known as the Measure of Academic Progress is an adaptive test that gets harder as a student answers questions correctly. This year Sophia has grown by 16 Rasch units after growing 35 last year!

When asked about how Genie Academy has helped her, Sophia said “I’m learning things earlier so at school I already know the things and they’re very easy." Her mother also agrees that Genie Academy helps Sophia learn ahead. She credits the teachers for being nice and responsible as they prepare lessons. Genie Academy has helped Sophia get a leg up on her classmates by teaching her material before the schools do.

Even Sophia’s teachers here at Genie Academy have made note of her hard work. When asked about Sophia, Ms. Apara said “Sophia is an excellent and driven student. She’s always on task and loves to learn. She is eager to get ahead.”
